JDS provided engineering design services for two new markets located in Ventura, CA. One property was located on Telegraph and Day Roads which required removing an abandoned gas station and nursery. This site was the first location for Fresh n Easy in Ventura. The parking lot incorporated low impact measures for the treatment and infiltration of stormwater.

Rasmussen and Associates served as the lead architect for this development. Building architecture was handled by the Fresh n Easy corporate architect. The completed store opened in early 2010. The second market developed in Ventura was located at a former car dealership at the corner of Seaward Avenue and Thompson Boulevard. Improvements included new parking lot improvements. Building architecture was handled by the Fresh n Easy corporate architect. The completed store opened in early 2011.
