Central Plaza
Jensen Design & Survey, Inc. is providing engineering and survey services for redevelopment of the 16.1-acre Central Plaza shopping center in Camarillo, California. The redevelopment involves demolition of the existing 107,550 square foot Kmart building to be replaced by a brand new 63,642 square foot Vons. In addition to the new supermarket, Central Plaza will be adding a convenience store and gas station, restaurant with a drive-thru, and a new restaurant at the vacant southwest corner of the site. The existing site parking and drive isles are also being reconfigured to accommodate this new construction. With more than 50% of the existing site being disturbed, the entire site is being configured to meet the current Ventura County MS4 permit for stormwater treatment.
JDS worked through the entitlement process to obtain approvals for the redevelopment and has been developing construction drawings to be permitted through the City of Camarillo for final approval. The project is currently in plan check with the City of Camarillo. Once approved, JDS will be providing Engineering Construction Services and Construction Staking for the site.
