Jensen Design & Survey, Inc. provides ongoing engineering, surveying, and planning services for the COMSAT satellite communication facility in Santa Paula, California. JDS has assisted COMSAT through the County of Ventura entitlement process for their existing Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and construction of multiple antennas, a utility upgrade and various site improvements. JDS performs Horizon Profiles for proposed antennas to ensure antenna locations and orientations don’t inhibit each other’s range and visibility. Engineering services have included comprehensive site drainage improvements, grading to achieve optimum antenna placement and utility relocation.  Survey services have included preparing easement documents, performing topographic surveys, laser scanning, horizon mapping, GPS control surveys, construction staking, anchor bolt verification, form certifications, as-builts, and boundary surveying.
