Del Sol High School

Jensen Design & Survey, Inc. was contracted to manage the new Del Sol High School project for the Oxnard Union High School District. Approximately half of the 100-acre project area is designated to the High School campus and the remaining half to Tract 6059, which will be developed into two new planned residential communities. The JDS Planning Team was contracted to lead the Tract 6059 portion through the entitlement process. The High School campus portion of the project is nearing completion, with an opening date for the Del Sol Jaguars August, 2023. The JDS Engineering Team completed on-site design including: input on site layout, collaboration with the project architect, PBK, and all of the civil scope for grading, water, sewer, storm drain, and stormwater infiltration.  A large offsite component was required by the City of Oxnard.  This work is also well underway with two new streets flanking Del Sol High School on the east and north, widening of Rose Avenue and Camino del Sol, upgrades to three existing traffic signal systems on Rose Avenue, two new signals to be added, upgrades to the downstream sewer trunk line in Rose Avenue and La Puerta, and a full water system looping the project site.  Coordination with the City of Oxnard required master plan type documents for water, sewer, and storm drain services for the entire 100-acre parcel. The JDS Survey Team led the charge for all right-of-way dedications and various City easements.
