Habitat for Humanity

Jensen Design & Survey, Inc. is proud to have built a relationship with Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County. Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County (Habitat) is a locally funded affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and has repaired more than 180 homes, helped over 200 families, and built more than 70 new homes in Ventura County. JDS’s relationship with Habitat began with employee participation in the construction of several houses in the Piru, California area. For this project in Thousand Oaks, California, JDS furnished construction documents and construction survey services as Habitat built a single-family residence on a vacant lot on Houston Street.

JDS also assisted Habitat with a second project, a three house subdivision in Simi Valley, California. The City of Simi Valley donated the parcel of land to Habitat and JDS provided civil engineering and surveying services to subdivide the parcel for the construction of the residences. The parent parcel was divided into 4 parcels, with the 4th remaining as a Parks District lot.
